With that much money, you can buy a good MIG welder, all the mandrel bends you need, a welding class, and still have money left over.

Re: exhaust and ic piping (DruWO)
Here is the algorithm for people who can't weld well:
1) Weld the pipes until there aren't any holes.
2) Use a grinder to grind the welds smooth.
3) Repeat as nessessary.
MIG wire is cheap!

lol, 1200 bucks? Would you like some lube for that *** rapage you get from there? Seriously, you could buy a MIG welder and a chop saw, and all the parts you need to make the piping for less than that. Plus in the end you have a welder, so you can do lots of other projects.

really 1200 depends on material you use.
Intercooler Piping
Materials Stainless (Good quailty) $250
Labor $180
Downpipe
$300 Welded Stainless
Exhaust
Materials $200
Labor $60
So about $1000 would be the average range

A custom exhaust from DP to muffler should be around 750ish. Intercooler piping should be around 300ish. So they arent raping you all THAT much. But its still gonna be alot more expensive than doing it yourself, if you have the know how. That shop sounds like it is charging me b/c of its name, nothing more.
