if i supercharge my 5th gen, would i need to get turbo parts (ex. cams, intakemani, new pistons)? or can i build up a n/a motor, then supercharge it? thanks.

Once you build the motor for boost, you can boost it either way (turbo/supercharger). You can't have both. NA would mean higher compression which is not good for boost. BTW, I'm 17 too whoo!

try to find an abs unit on ebay. that's what i did. it was about 250 for the part and 150 for installation. a new abs unit is around 1000 bucks

i would personally get it fixed since you live in new york. never know it might save you

not true...high compression turbo motors are a lot of fun. highter compression allows for less turbo lag(or better Tq down low, to create the illusion of lesser lag.) i have a friend with a turbo b18 @ 11:1 CR. you can easily run higher compression, its just all in the tune

go ahead Blake....make my day</TD></TR></TABLE>

you CAN go 145mph....or at least i did in my 2001 base STOCK....took awhile, but i got there nonetheless.

[edit] ill answer all your questions...
vtech is a phone
i dono who your dad is....nor do i want to
who cuts their springs these days? you could just get cheap springs for $30-40
why would anyone want to put a b16 into their 5gen.....its already heavy as it is....it doesnt need a torqueless engine with less displacement...just makes no sense.
an nsx has an inline six.....rwd.....and if you have money to put that into your car.....might as well buy another car
prelude isnt rwd b/c honda made it fwd......is it really that hard to for people to understand that thats just the way it is and the way its gona be?
the 6th gen is NOT coming out......even if it did it wouldnt too well unless it had awd with a turbo....just my 2cents

and just to let you know.....not all noobs ask stupid questions like that....its people like you who make it harder for newer ht members to gain information. just leave them be....its a f*ckin internet forum for godsakes.....search is NOT necessary before EVERY question you ask......some people makes it seem like its "search or die!"

Has anyone ever swaped atts into another vehicle? By that I mean someone that has information posted somewhere.

did you really just ask this??

The supercharge replaces your intake manifold...

THINK MAN!!

as for cams and pistons. Its not required, bigger cams usually yields more power. U dont have to get new pistons, b/c if u get forged pistons, you have to sleeve. and besides, stock CR on a supercharged car is fine

technically you can have both. It has been done before(not on a prelude) a supercharger feeding a turbo. But its not worth it in my opinion.

true, but the turbo pumping air into your cylinders increases your CR as well, so what CR was he at at full bost? 11:1 CR was no boost, Id be willing too bet it was pretty high.

but wouldnt an SH tranny with an ATTS unit cost less than 800 bucks? I dont know, Ive never looked at the market for these types of things. but my vote is still for an LSD, its MUCH less of a headache.

The reason I ask is because it seems like if it could turn a BB6 then it could really turn a eg or like a CRX or something... and I have a 4th gen thats alittle shorter. I looked on ebay, there's a guy talking about manual transmission and atts unit for $600 or more.

I would be interested in how his 4th gen turned out.

im sure u can get a sh tranny and atts for about couple hundred of bucks, then u gotta get the ecu for it, and get a 5th gen ecu too.. , then u gotta get drive shafts for it.. i dont know a lot of small things that will add up quick.. then you gotta consider the man hrs to do the job.. which can be free if ur doing it ur self.. but you still have to factor in the hrs u put in, still does = money .. time is money.. regardless weather ur doing it urself or paying someone else..
