Default THEFT RECOVERY/SALVAGE TITLE Question.

Are most s2000 that are stolen striped down to the chasis? or are just the seat and interior stolen? another question is if a car is stolen for a joyride and found in perfect condition does it count as a salvaged title? im looking to buy a AP2 for like 15g's but its has a THEFT RECOVERY/SALVAGE TITLE (the seller is not responding to my e-mails). What do you guys think? thanks for your responce.

usually when the cost of missing or damaged parts exceed the car's actual value its considered salavage.

personally I wouldn't buy salvaged cars no matter what the reason.

Why not? A stolen car just has a couple cut wires and sensors missing, you can save a bunch if your building a project s2k.

not everyone is into someone else's headache, i wouldn't buy a salvage unless it's extremely cheap and you are willing to tear it apart.

you will always get the "recovery" salvage excuse on every salvage you found, each and everyone of them will tell you that the car was jacked and found, not until you found a big **** pool of bondo repair or twisted impact beam then they will be honest about it.

i bought a salvaged titled Si and my mechanic went over it and he couldn't find any evidence of any major damage. Car was running like a champ till some goons jacked it out of my driveway. :-)

s2000's are being more stollen these days for their motors since alot of swap options are becoming available to the old schoolers.

I've owned 2 Salvage titled cars, and 1 Stolen/Recovery titled car.

Not once have i had any problems with any of them. Usual maintenance and nothing else!

Shop right and you will find a great deal! Only concern is resale value, but ive been really lucky in finding good buyers at good prices.
