NOT a tech question?
IM lost here i heard people say after the car has been claimed by insurance like for example car gets stolen stripped.... airbags gauges seats etc etc gone.... insurance claimed it as totaled...can we buy it back? how do that work? would the car be a SALVAGEd Title now? Would we have to go thru CHP or DMV for inspection? and how do we buy it back? Do they deduct it from the money they owe us?

You can buy the car back, just go to the junkyard and pay the fee/worth of the car.
If the car is totaled it will have a salvaged title.
If the car is totaled it will have a salvaged title.

You can buy it back, but it will have a salvaged theft recovery title. Once the car is back together, you can get it inspected just as you would have before (well at least in texas). Just talk to your claim's representative about buying the car back. They will give you some options
