Default Fuel Filter?

Ok...well for the past 6 or so months my car feels like its not getting enough gas or something when first pushing the gas in..it feels like its lagging or something..it does it especially bad when going up hills..I have to completely floor it for it to go a little bit faster when going up a really big hill..after i get up to speed its completely fine..I didnt know if it could possibly be the fuel filter..maybe fuel injectors or what?..anyone have an idea?

Is your car auto or manual? Do you know when the last time the fuel filter was changed? I think you're supposed to do it every 50,000. If you're going to change the filter better hope you have skinny hands, it's a bitch to get the wrench in there so you can swap it.

if you want to go by the recommended interval in the manual, a 5th gen Accord's fuel filter should be replaced every 24,000 miles.

skinny hands not required crow foot wrenches FTW

Yeah, I think I saw that shortly after it came out. Do you know of anyone who's relocated the fuel filter on this gen. accord?

no... I remember years ago, 3-4, that some people were talking about doing it but I don't think it was ever done. I'll see if I can dig up those old threads.

I'll try injector cleaner first, but I've had the same ordeal as well. It's an auto so that probably doesn't help my case, haha. Not sure if/when it was changed last in my 5th gen.

auto/manual shouldn't have any effect on your fuel filter intervals....it's possible that it's the regulator, but you might as well try the filter first. What grade gas do you usually use?

I don't think thats what he meant by his question. I think he is asking if the auto tranny could be the cause of his problem rather than the fuel filter or regulator. Like possibly the tranny slipping?

No I wasnt saying it could possibly be the tranny..I Highly Highly doubt its the tranny..I just recently did a tranny swap cuz mine went out due to the dumbass that had it before me..its not slipping or acting up or anything so I know its not the tranny because it did it before I did the tranny swap also...also I use regular unleaded..ive put premium in it a few times but not much..Im gonna replace the filter..if that doesnt fix it then im gonna go with the regulator...ok so I just thought of this..about a year ago..I didnt have much gas so My dad told me to put some gas in it that was in my basement..but he didnt know that it was weedeater fuel that sucked...but do you think that may have something to do with it..I dont remember if it started before or after that or what
