Changing the pads on my 96 del sol and the rear piston will not compress to put the new pads on, cant figure out the problem, i checked the e-brake just to make sure it wasnt on and it wasnt that, does anybody know why it will not compress or someone tell me how i can compress it
The piston needs to be twisted back down, not simply compressed. I believe you need to turn it clockwise to compress it if I remember correctly. It' been a while since I changed my pads. Use a large flathead/chisel tool.
