Because the sound deadining and tar on our cars is removed. Plus crusing RPM is higher due to gearing.

haha ... why, do you not like the sound of a race engine??? anyways, most of the insulating and other sound deading materials have been eliminated for weight reasons...part of the ITR weight loss program when compared to the GSR.
IMO...I love the sounds our engines make

If I had a GSR I would gut it out to make it sound like an ITR.

Check the vacuum lines on your intake manifold.

You mean the valve chatter and belts whirring bothers you? Just part of the way the honda engines sound, especially the R engine.

Last time I drove my R, I had the rear seats up for the first time since I drove it home from the dealer. Damn, it was quiet (except for engine roar - almost sounded like a luxury car!). Usually there is all sorts of rear tire road roar on the highway when the seats are down (there's no insulation under or above the spare tire).

Think its bad with the seats dowmn...remove them like me! You can hear the gas sloshing @ stops.....they took the wave baffle out of the tanks as part of the diet.
Jody-Who wants a GSR tank if it will fit. (Will help weight dist anyways.)
