Which Looks Better for Upholstery?
I am designing my own door speaker pods for my car. they seem like they are goin to turn out nice. I am also designing and making these to show a custom shop that i can make pro-quality custom components for cars. I have all Alpine Type-R speakers in my car(6.5" components up front powered byt the mrv-t320 alpine amp as well as 6.5" coaxials in rear)
since i have all alpine type-r speakers in my car and to make it look more custom when i upholster my door pods, im goin to put the Type-R symbol that are on my speakers on my door panels with an embroidery machine that i have. im wondering which one I should use. I took a picture of the speaker and put it into photoshop to extract the logo into a vector format, im just not sure which one to use; the one with just the R or the "Type R" on it.
or another option is to embroider the Alpine logo that i made in photoshoop
the first one is the one i just did, the 2nd is the picture of the speaker with the "type" word that i need to put into vector format in photoshop

thats what most people have said so ill probably do that. Ill have to get my camera tripod so the camera will be still for the non-flash shot. the flash reflects all over since the speaker is concave. i cant get the exact part of "type" on the logo on the speaker to be able to accurately reproduce it. i cant find any of the type-r logos on the internet either

why not just use the "type" from the picture above, if your putting it into vector form the same way that i do, you should be able to get it perfect to your liking with some patience

Ill post pics when im done, i have the frame (copied exactly from the original speaker pod) and it fits perfectly. I just have a few things to do b4 i can mount the speaker ring.
I saw in the Alpine "Terms of Use" they say i need written consent for use of their logo in things like this. I did it mostly to see what they send back to me. I wrote a formal letter explaining what it was for and what im doing.
well what I did, i went to the alpine website, downloaded the Type-X manuaal and copied the "Type" from that , then put that in vector format. Here it is with the "type":

thanks. the alpine 5-stripe logo was the hardest to make because that was my first one ever made. I scanned it in from a really crappy box that i had with the alpine logo on it; it was pretty bad. then i learned about the vector format and it fixed it right up.
the "Type-R" is probably what it will be then
