An factory map does not run rich enough to produce flames?

When I had an OBD1 stock H22a w/ a p13 untouched, no cat, it would shoot flames as well.

Its not uncommon.

News to me, especially when adding a header...thought it would lean it out a bit. Cool

ive popped a flame before

b18c with a straight pipe (spec 2 with the tip hacked off) and im just running a jdm p30 ecu.

its not that hard to make a honda backfire ( i duno if its aactuallly backfiring but it does pop) jsut let it build up some vaccum and then barely tap the gas and youll hear a pop some time accompanied by small flames
