i am not sure what they are called so this is the situation.
about 3 years ago i had the windows tinted on my car. a friend of mine works at a tint shop so he had the window tint cut and came over to my house and did it for me since i don't have ac and it was the summer. when he got done he heated the windows so i could roll them up and down. he then noticed that when the driver side window rolled up that right when it snugged to the gasket it nose dived to the front about 3/8 of a inch. he said no problem bring it to my shop when you have extra time i will redo it. well i got it fixed last thursday. it was a timely job to take it off and put it back on because it had been on so long so i told him not to worry about heating it since my car is a sedan i will roll the other 3 down. rolled the window down today finally because i had been driving my DD and it did it again. how hard is it to replace the scissors in the door i took the panel off and notice that the rivet that holds the X of the scissors together has a good bit of play in it.
could that fix the problem or is it something else?

You need to replace the window regulator ("scissors"). To remove, you just have to remove the bolts holding it in, then the two bolts holding it to the window. It's really easy.

Yeah, I had my friend hold up the window so that it was lined up perfectly. If it's not lined up perfectly, the window it come off track towards the top.

I don't think you can get it at a parts store. It's a dealer only part. Gotta wait until tomorrow.

my local O'Reilly's says they carry it. but i did check on hondaautomitive parts and it was the same price O'reillys said it was so it has to be the same part. how hard is it to do? that seems like a pretty crammed place to be working

I did it in under 30 minutes

I stuck power windows into my 6th gen. Mine did the same thing when it goes up as soon as it hits the rubber it tilted. The service manuals said to put the window up all the way. loosen a bolt that was part of the scissor thing, different mounting point then the four your talking about. They sit near the middle of the door. After adjusting it up and down I found the spot where my windows rolled up perfect.
I don't know how yours could've done it over time, maybe a loose bolt? But worth a try before buying a new part.
