so monday i was drinving normal in my em1 and i get pulled ova!!! i ended up getting a ticket and court for having a illegal muffler according to the police officer but the ticket says improper muffler and 3 points!!! so now i got court for having a illegal muffler!! anyone else in the denver northglenn area in colorado gotten a ticket for this?? i thought this strict laws about all this import **** was only in cali but it might be moving ova here anyways let me know wat you guys think about this thanks! by the way i got a ctr motor with stocl headers and a greddy evo2 catback exhaust

this isn't really tech related, but in most states any performance exhaust is usually illegal.

 

for anyone in the ontario ca area don't go too the ontario mills mall i got a ticket for cruising when i was looking for a parking spot illegal exhaust and he said i was a streetracer cause i had a RPM tach so yea don't go there

Usually when you want to get a point across, you should try to be concise and as 'to the point' as possible.

Also, be more specific in your thread description, as 'ticket' doesn't exactly help.

Stuff like this makes me miss Cali less and less. I live in Maryland now and they dont care what you do over here. Its ridiculous, even tercels and corolas as fixed up out here. Its sickening to watch, but oh well.

If they nail you for exhaust around here it's always for one of two things or both...obviously first and foremost emissions because they think you're always running straight back with no cat convertor or noise laws...it's pretty crappy.

yea dont go to the mills if you have any mods to your car I live in ontario, and the cops around here will pull you over for anything even if your car is stock, just because its a honda

First I would check with evo that the exhaust is legal, if it is .. it will be easy, if it isn't then I do not know.

I got a ticket for a loud exhaust, when i went to court i showed the judge advertisement and specs on my exhaust which said the decibel levels and stated it is legal in 49 states. Judge answered that he doesn't know the db levels for the town of Cicero and that is it!! I was free.

If the exhaust would not be legal I would take it off put the stock one on make pics go to court make a puppy face admit to it show pics that you chnged it and see what he says.

Thankfully cops here in missouri dont really care about how loud your car is. And words like "emissions" and "smog legal" arent even spoken out here. Matter of fact they are trying to get rid of state inspections, and it looks like it might pass. Look, I have been all over the states and dont get me wrong, I love the coast, but I would never drive my car to get there. (rental ftw!) Anyways, we have a website here that is called MissouriTrafficTickets.com, and I cant count all the times that they saved my points from being taken. You guys have something like that out there?
