Default First oil change and airbag recall

I've owned my Fit since Nov '06 and I've only got 3500 miles. My maintenance minder oil level was at 40%, but I figured I'd get it changed early. The service manager seemed to question me a little, but I insisted. They also downloaded the new software for the airbag recall. Don't forget to do that people.

The K&N panel filter goes on tomorrow. Maybe it'll improve gas mileage. I'm still getting high 20's. It'll be a rainy weekend, but I'm still planning on AutoXing this Sunday.

dang son...you need to drive it more!

Whether or not mine is accurate, I check my mileage with each tank. I'm just over 13K miles and I still average 39MPG. I think I'd get better, but the hills here in western Pennsylvania can be a little steep sometimes.

The funny thing is I feel like I drive it more than I do. Now that spring/summer is here I'm sure I'll take more frequent, long distance trips that will rack up mileage.

We have a lot of hills here too and most of my driving is city so that probably explains why my mileage isn't that great. Maybe the K&N will improve it. I can definitely hear the motor now.

Do it. It didn't take long at all.

What was the total cost for this oil change/service? I read in Car and Driver's long term test that it's pretty cheap compared to other cars in their fleet.

Oil change is $19.95 at my local dealership. (first one was free)

And the airbag fix is free of charge.
