How often should you change your oil?
I have been told that you should change your oil every 3000 miles. In the Honda Manual it says that you only have to change every 7500 miles unless it is severe driving conditions.
What constitutes severe driving conditions? Is it stop and go,dusty roads, frequent short trips, and others? I drive about a hundred miles and it is mostly freeway miles so I am guessing 7500 would be just fine. Right?

Do you drive your car hard??
Most times it best to change it every 3000 miles. You put a lot of mileso n your car per day so you'll probably want to do that.
I try to change mine every 2500-2750 miles.

Re: How often should you change your oil? (Apex i ITR)
I never drive it past 4000 rpm. I usually shift at 2500 rpm. So I take it very easy on my engine. My gas mileage has not been affected yet and I havent changed it in close to 7000 miles.

Re: How often should you change your oil? (vtecvoodoo)
The service intervals in my honda maintenance handbook had entries for every 3750, so I changed the oil every 3750 and I haven't had any problems.
