Which material is cheaper to have CNC machined SS or AL?

depends on what type.
i would say if its 7075AL vs 303ss, then stainless wins. but if its 304ss vs 2000series AL then AL.

youd need to tell us what are the two options basically.

then call a machine shop since we couldnt guess unless someone here works at one.

AL is cheaper hands down. with stainless you have a lot of tool wear along with slower cutting feeds and speeds.

6061 aluminum vs 304ss.
