Charcoal can and vacuum lines
I have a 90 rex with a b16.the idle was at near 4200 when i got it.i was playing with the vacuum lines and the tps sensor.I got it to about 2300 today. Not bad but still way to high.Any suggestions.Could someone send me pics of their b16 in their rex so i can see.
Im tired of looking at these wrong charts and also there is no charcoal/two way vacuum cannister.I dont know why though. What is the use for this any ways.
Plus my speed sensor is screwed and needs to be replaced but what are the two hoses come from the top of the speed sensor.Mine are both cut.Any help would be apreciated.

Wow, the engine speed(rpm) is really high. I'm pretty sure the canisters vacuum lines ain't gonna have anything to do with the rpm. Check your lines from the brake booster. I'm at work now so I can't upload any pictures.
What the canister does is captures the fumes from the fuel system(fuel tank).
On my 89' rex i took out the charcoal canister, gave me no problems. Rpm was the same. I would keep it on there cause of smog inspection, if you don't have it your gonna fail the visual.
If your VSS is messed up i would get that fix. For those vacuum lines that are cut, tee them off(plug them) to see if your rpm drops.
If you have unplugged vacuum lines, your gonna have high rpm.
