I recently done the mod and if you get the entire dash harness off a 94-96 Si or VTEC model... its literally just taking the gauges out (the temp/fuel gauge as well), swaping the harness, and pluging the connectors back to its original spots... the only other thing you have to do is that there's going to be an extra connector (3 pin connector) on the passenger side of the dash harness tha does not connect to anything.. all you have to do is take the ground wire from that connector and ground it to something metal*.... but yea.. you pretty much don't need a write up at all about this if you get the dash harness (which i recommend)...
just make sure you get the silver box that goes w/ the el gauges as well... I believe its called the "AC/DC inverter"....
*the reason why you ground that ground wire is b/c if you don't.... when ever you switch the left and right turn signals... both the left and right turn signals start blinking on the gauge (the outside signals are not affected)... and when you switch your hazards on... the left and right turn signals lights on the gauge do not blink... (the outside signals are not affected)

ok. i finished swappin the entire dash wiring harness out n installed the El cluster. erything is workin fine except for a couple things. my temp gauge is not reading correctly(goes all the way into the red then back down again). the RPM needle is not reading right. when i go to turn the key to put power to the cluster the needle jumps to 1000. i kno its reading right cuz my vtec is hittin round 4. any help would be needed. thanks
i hve a 92 prelude, i put in the harness and the cluster from a 96 si, but my cluster will not light up i have 2 white plugs that come off the top of the cluster that does not connect to anything and 1 green plug off the top that does not connect to anything either, all from the cluster and one on the passenger side. can anyone help me? thanks

These connectors need to be plugged into the el power inverter....its the little metal box that powers the EL cluster. Without it they will not work....
here is some information about wiring it up if you don't have the harness though...that is what I did....

best place to find the inverter is ebay or find someone on a prelude forum or HT that is selling one...
and yes, there are two white connectors and a green connector that go to the inverter.
