EL Conversion question
does anyone know or what they used to splice the wires and plug into the gauge?
i have a 93 prelude and going to do the analog to el conversion, but since the clips are different wanted to know what you guys used to stick the wires in there. images or some form of description will be much appreciated!

Re: EL Conversion question (H22TurboNos)
The easiest way to do the conversion would be to use the dash harness for the EL gauges. That way, the conversion is practically plug and play. You'll also need the inverter box for the gauge cluster as well.

Re: EL Conversion question (H22TurboNos)
I got lucky I guess
What happened was when I bought the EL gauge cluster the harness was cut. So the gauges had the clips intact. I just used what I had to work with and spliced/soldered.
Otherwise, i would have tried to find some wire insulators to plug each wire into each corresponding wire on the gauge. Be creative.

Re: EL Conversion question (Honda_Fanatic)
How much would you let one go for? I've been wanting to convert to the digital dash since I swapped in the H22, I'm near Chicago btw...

Re: EL Conversion question (MrLude1)
the best way to do the conversion is to get the cluster and the harness together, i did it the hard way with half of the el harness and the analog harness and got it work with alot of splicing and soldering but when i turned the headlights on the cluster would go black so i ended up buying the harness off a 95 and now it works perfect, hey brian its mike from cpc if you get it let me know i can help ya put it in.

It would help if you spelled "gauges" right in your search.

Re: EL Conversion question (rawNAprelude)
I had no problems finding anything. Make sure you also hit archive, b/c that is where all the info is.
