Default Trying to jump the two pin connector.. CEL won't flash.

CEL came on tonight in my '94 integra RS.. it has a jdm b20b swap and i'm jumping the connector off and it won't flash the CEL.. Any ideas?

The cel just stays solid, no blinking.

& the car is running in limp mode

Are you trying this with the engine running? Once you insert the jumper, you should only be switching the ignition to "ON", not starting the engine.

No i'm not doing this with the engine on. Ignition switched to on. I've pulled the ECU fuse and the 7.5 amp back up fuse, even as long as 3 mintues and the CEL won't erase.. I'm thinking bad ecu possibly chip?

can anyone chime in?

Disconnect the battery. Are you sure you jumped it right. The connecter on the passenger side . Under the kick panel

What do you mean by engine on? Please clarify this.

The ignition should be turned to II (not to III) after the clip has been been jumped.

You are jumping the connector with the ECU fuse IN right? Not while it's pulled out.

put the back up fuse back in and then jump the connector and check the cel. why would u take out the fuse, and i think when you take that fuse out that's how u reset your cel so it might no even come up now so u might have to drive the car now

Okay.. let me clear some things up.. I'm NOT trying to jump the connector with the fuse pulled out. I've pulled obd 1 codes before.. And this is the first time this has ever happened...

Again my problem.

- I'm driving and the CEL comes on.. The car is in LIMP mode.. & idleing at 1500-1800 rpms

When i go to reset the code.. It won't clear.. I turn the key on twice and the CEL stays on.. then i go to pull the code and it won't read **** off..

Could something of happened to the chip or something burned up in the ECU..

I'm thinking about just trying to find another p75 and try that, but i'd like to know 100% sure.. But i can't pull the code..

thanks for everyones help..

bump

I was about to say... I would let you try my old pr4, since i just got a chipped p06.

that is what I was thinking the whole time. If you pull the 7.5 fuse to reset the ecu and turn the key to on, then without the jumper there shouldnt be any codes.

good job jimmy.
