why is my car running rich???
because unless you have a wideband o2 sensor and gauge, the a/f gauge you have is worthless and should not be trusted for any sort of diagnostics.
i got a b16 block, type r head titatium springs and retainers.. skunk2 manifold intake and exhaust....and yes im getten bad gas mileage.

Yea with out a wide-band there is really no way of telling what your a/r is at. Some questions:
1. is the check engine light on?
2. if so what is the code.
somethings that can cause a engine to run rich.
3. PCV valve?(shake it if it rattles ur okay
4. Incorrect ignition timing.
5. bad injector( can hold pressure)
6. Need a tune(with the mods done it needs a tune)
7. what computer are u running?
I'm not saying that this is ur problem but just an example of one situation.
On my local forum a member had bought an h22a1 and swapped it and what not. He later then replied saying that its running rich and that there's a check engine light on. Also he said that at idle it runs very rich and then when he punches it, it bogs down or what i said lose pretty much all power. So then I asked him if he knew what the code was. he had no idea. He checked the code and it was #7 TPS so i asked who did the wiring hes said he had some one do it. So then i told him to test his tps sensor. So the outcome of his problem was that his tps was wired backwards. So at idle it was reading like 5 volts so the ecu thinks its at WOT dumping fuel in. therefor when he accelerates the tps reads .45v and thinks its at idle no fuel
. but after that it ran fine.
Oh also check fuel pressure. and test ur O2 sensor. Just thought id give a lil help. Hope everything works out for ya. If not tuned its probably a good idea to do so.
Peace

o2 sensors can be going bad with no CEL showing,
It will run rich, and in turn causing worse gas mileage.

There is your problem. Usually those chipped ecu make you run rich for no reason. Try to tune your car so it runs right.
