Default Looking to get a tune up

Just 2 hours ago, I purchased a 1995 Integra Gs-R. Current mileage: 133, 293.
I am looking to get a tune-up. My question is, is it better to have the dealership do the work? and what is the average price range for a full tune-up? What is needed for a full tune up?

You need to get the maintenance records from the previous owner.
Specifically when the timing belt was changed, tranny fluid, fuel filter, etc.

You will get ripped at the dealer, but some people have no other choice. You should find some mechanically inclined friends, a manual, and some tools. Or find a local shop that works on Honda's that you trust.

The owner did not keep any of these records... So i am left to assume that I need to do a 'full' tune up..I agree with you on taking the car to a dealership though...I just need to know what is neccessary (parts and tools) to complete the job.

the dealer is the choice if u want it done rgt the first time, trust me they do this day in and day out. do u want some newbie with a sae wrench trying to butcher you're pride and joy. look at the belts and w-pump first cuz if they break thats it w/ that motor. then i would suggest spk plugs/wires, distributor cap and rotor, fuel filter, and valve adjustment. should cost under $400.00 roughly at the dealer w/o tbelt/wpump service. remember this quote(youve heard it b4) U GET WHAT U $ 4!!!

Since the car has over 130,000 miles, it would be a good idea to spend the extra money and have the dealership do the tune-up.
