Could be any of the following 3, but so you know the CKP or Crank positison sensor is located in the Dizzy
Check them in this order:
1. Bad/Broken Wire or corrention between the Dizzy and ECU:
Check both connections to make sure there is no broken wires or loose connections at the ECU and Dizzy...trace the wires and make sure there are no breaks/cracks or sheilding rubbed off you can also test it by running new temp wires from the dizzy to ECU and see if that makes the light go away (remember to reset the CEL first)
2. Bad Dizzy
I'd try to find someone locally that has a OBD0 B16 that is know to be running properly and have them let you borrow there dizzy and see if that makes the CEL go away, that will keep you from spending cash on a new one incase it isn't the problem...
3. Bad ECU
Ask that same friend with the OBD0 B16 to borrow there ECU to see if the CEL goes away...you could also use a PM6 or PR4 if you have one laying around but you need to know it is in good working order, if you use anything other than a PW0 or PR3 you will probably get some other CELs and the car might not run properly (don't drive it with the wrong ECU just start it and let it idle) but you just need to check that you aren't getting the CKP code
Good Luck

bought a new dizzy and still throwing code 4... any more input and I am going to follow the wires and make sure there not cut...also does any one else have any suggestions?
The conector on the engine harness to dizzy may have the pins sliding out.
Since it's not the dizzy you must trace the wires and connectors at both ends male and female. Push on the pins to see if they move any in or out.
Did you use prefabed adaptors (jumper harness) or repin the ECU connector?

I posted above everything you need to do...do that and then come back and ask for help if it dosen't work...its either your Wiring or your ECU...if you did all those checks you would have saved yourself from having to buy a new dizzy...
