Default code 9 ls obd0

did a recent motor swap from my 89 hatch to my 91 hatch everything runs good but i keep getting a persistant code 9 for cps i keep clearing the code with the ecu/hazard fuse and it comes back everytime as i drive down the road the car died and i had intermittant spark . checked the specs for all the sensor inside and it all is good. so perhaps it was the igniter. in the mean time im waiting for my new dizzy to come in the mail . the wires for cyp had appearded to have been switched back and fourth with butt conectors 3 different times so perhaps i should rewire with some shielded wire from ecu to new dizzing if the new distributor doesnt solve the problem

like the wires are old and have to much resistance that so the computer cant read the signal from the dizzy perhaps?

you more than likely have the cps wires mixed up backwards. Have your tried switching them around?

currently getting this problem with my dpfi-mpfi, obd0-obd1 z6 swapped ef, not the dizzy not the ecu,and not the cyp wires....

tested my dizzy on another car and no problem, theirs still throws the code on mine.
swapped another p28, still shows cel
bypassed the 2 cyp wires directly from dizzy clip to harness with 2 wired outside the car, even switched them around... still cel 9

looks like we have the same problem
