Have you checked the rotor to see if it is still on the distrubuter shaft. Does it have a reliable spark?

Then check to see if you have fuel pressure.

i messed around with it a little today. would the stereo and the lights work if it was the alternator? it kinda started when i tried while reving the gas but then shut off, without using any gas it dosnt turn over. everytime i try it kinda gets ferther away from starting.

pull your plugs nd check them out, if one is smashed then you have yorself a blown motor. if not might be a distributor problem

My bro's 92 Si had his dying on monday and mine on my Mazda die on tuesday. Hell of a week.

Do you have power (lights, clock, radio)? My car idled funny and died because the alternator is shot. Have a look at it.

it is not.....my cluster went out, then my blinkers and then the car just quit, all of which within a couple days. I knew it was coming. If you do not have these symptoms, its something else.

I had a similar problem a while back. Turned out my electronic fuel pump was blowing a fuse over and over due to a wire touching. The fuse blows my fuel pump cuts out car dies. -.- anyway i fixed the wire. but it could be your fuel pump is worn out. just a thought.
