00 si originally had a b16a2, now will b installing a b16a with lsd, i was wondering besdies the clutch and flywheel, is there anything important that i should worry about when putting in the tranny?. I got the shiftlinkage, along with 2 new mounts for it. Flywheel, Clutch, Tranny, mounts, linkage, then starter? thats the order it is going in.

is this more or less correct, is there anything else should b aware of?

First time installing, i will b with other mechanics i just want to kno for myself, thanks

 

you be golden! Make sure all the bolts are off, before you start prying the transmisson.

 

just remember to grease the throwout bearing. sounds like you got the rest taken care of

I believe, thats how one of my buddies ruined theres. A well known machanic made a terrible mistake buy tightning one of the tranny bolts, hopeing it will aligned it self to the block.

good advice.

when ive put tannies back on i usually get two thick screw drivers and put them through bolt holes into the tranny and into the block where the bolts would go which makes it a little easier to line the tranny up. then i usually hold it in place while someone turns the flywheel slightly until the tranny slides in.

 

Loc-tite the flywheel bolts if you plan to have them off. I had a how to on a tranny removal, but it's basically the same as an install.

Also get you a good jack to take the weight/angle off of the block, it'll help you a ton getting it back in. Just get under the car, press it up, and have somebody on top help wiggle it in.
