Just bought rex.Entering the ef comunity.Picsss.Couple of little problems thogh lil help please.
Ok.My first big post so bear with me. I just bought a rex. Its a 1990 and got it from some dude in jersey who sort of had an idea of what he was doing and he got it from some crazy ricer who really didnt know what he was doing. but in the end i guess.it has a b16 in it.Obd0 and this isnt a bad deal being that im 18.So.heres the problems.will post more pics later.oh yea i traded him a bone stock 93 coupe with nothin done to it.heres some pics and then ill state my issues that you guys could probably help me with.

any ways.Couple of problems.
1. The big little b16 seems ok but it idles at 2,500,3,000, sometimes even close to 4. Of course tps whch i have found one but have not put it on becasue i dont know how to take it off.Changed the IAACV but that isnt the prob.Plus you guys know those two holes inside the throttle body.When you put you finger in the bottom hole, the idle drops to where its supposed to be at like 700.???? help please
2. It has a single over head dixxy on it and im in the process of getting a new one that is the t22u.Vtec doesnt kick in and i checked the codes numbers 7 & 9.(TPS and CYP) i believe.So what do i do about that?Just change them?
3. Could you guys explain to me why the hell is the bumper being held on by zip ties?I figured its the wrong one and it doesnt have any place to mount.It looks like the bumper from the 89.You guys know a lil better than me im new to the efs.
4. The big coffe can shaped cansiter thats the vacuum lines with the red covering go to is missing.And also the lines are missing too.
5. The speed sensor moves up and down when you shake it and it has a thin little wire on top coming out of the whole where i guess the cable should be.And yes the mph on the speedometer is dead.So ya wont know how fast your going when you tear *** on that vette!! more help.
6. There are wires every where and there is is there some sort of diagram somewhere that i can look at to see what every thing is and COULD YOU GUYS POST PICS OF REGULAR CRX DX'S WITH B16s SO I CAN LOOK AT WHATS DONT WRONG WITH MINE IF POSSIBLE.
7. I believe that there are the wrong fenders headlights and hood.But you guys can take a look.
ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.THANKS ALOT AND PLEASE GET BACK TO ME. LATER.

i will try to help but am a little short on time...prob#1 to change the tps eather you can take a small drill bit and carefully drill the rivits untill they pop off or take a dremmel tool with a small cutting head a put a slot in the head of the rivit so you can get a flat head screw driver on it and twist it off....make shure you use a new gasket when you put it back on...prob#2 after you change the tps you shuld have no #7 code the cyp sensor is in the dizzy , you were right get the td-22u and code#9 shuld go away.. prob#3 cant help pics suck.. prob#4 go to a junk yard and get one , after you put it in go to the faq portion of the ef home page and look for vacume diagram...prob#5 whyle you are at the junk yard get a speed sensor cable and install it...prob#6 again go to the faq...prob#7 cant see to help...good luck
I can help you with prob #3. By the looks of your pictures your front bumper, headlights, fenders, and hood all came from a crx. You did state however that the car is a 90 model. Well it does have a 88 or 89 front bumper on it. It looks like either the front end has been taken off and they didnt put it on to well or the car was hit in the front end and thats the best they could line it up. It is hard to tell without really looking at the car.
As far as the zip tie goes. They may have lost the screws that holds to top of the bumper on, or they stripped the head off the bolts(which is easy to do) and were not able to put them back on. The worst case scenerio is that you dont have a front bumper support. That could be the only thing that I could tell.
Either way good luck and post some better pics when you can.
P.S. if you need any parts check out my forsale page, I have an extra front bumper support.

that is an imfamous bumper holder. zip ties. im guilty of it on my last car. after i got in an accident my front end didnt line up so the zip ties went on.
