rev the **** out of the engine.... if you have a good setup it will still be making power.

i'm not so worried about not making power. it's that when i was using the b16 tranny on another setup, i had to either keep it pegged at redline in 4th gear or shift into 5th. but i know a lot of you guys are running good times so i'm guessing you're using your 5th gear?

factors that can determine what gear you'll end up at.
1. tire size
2. trans gearing(type and FD)
3. RPM shift point
4. wheel spin
5. HP

you just have to calculate everything to see which is best for you.

1. 24.5
2. stock b16
3. 8900
4. minimal
5. currently a little over 400whp and a little over 300ftq. will be over 500whp soon.

have no idea what gear i'm gonna end up in without actually putting each trans on which i'm trying to avoid.
