Default T3/GT40 good for a mild setup?

Hi all,

I am trying to decide which turbo I should go with. I'm running 9:1 wiseco pistons, H beam rods and some reinforced valve terrain in a B16A. Looking to make around 300 hp daily and around 400 at the track.. Would a T3/GT40 be a good set up? If not what would be the optimal turbo? I've been told the T3/T04E would be the best bang for the buck for what i'm shooting for..

a t3/t04e 50 or 60 trim would meet your power goals and not cost you that much.

the t3/gt40 is a little laggy especially on a B16 and is a little more money compared to the t3/t04e's.

if you dont care about price then try a gt30 or something similar.....

correct on that. But don't do the opposite extreme by getting something TOO SMALL to do the same hp either. That would cause a bit of inefficiency and heat, as well.
