Hey guys i got a 98 gsr and recently spun the main lower bearing..i was planning on doing a swap either gettin anouther gsr motor OR gettin a full type r swap motor+trany...what do u guys think? how does the R motor hold up for DailyDriving?


And does anyone know of some reputable site to look for some motors?...i know hmotorsonline and passwordjdm and inlinefour all have pretty high prices or not what i need...where should i be lookin

save your money only difference in a gsr block and a itr block is pistons, rods and crank. you can replace your internals with itr pistons and take the crank to a mach. shop to have it checked and balanced. My itr have a gsr swap w/ 01 itr cams, 98spec jdm itr tranny, vision header skunk2 manifold jg TB skunk2 cam gears and tuned w/ nepture and it made 186hp dont rem. TQ, with stock internals most itrs stock don't put that to the ground
