Default Port and polishing your head?

Anyone do it themselves, Honestly, i dont think it could be that hard, but i dont really know, Anyone have a walkthrough on how to do it?

my friends got a spare F22 head i wanna try it on

even if you make your ports larger that doesn't mean that you will gain any power. all that matters is what shows on the flow bench. you could very well hurt your flow numbers if not done correctly.

to really achieve power from porting you need to understand flow characteristics. all of your top head porters have spent time on flowbenches and they understand what makes power and what does not..


porting is not something you can do without any knowledge.. pay the money its worth it..

It all matters what your goals are. Their valve job is touched up from the factory, focus on other things if you can and generally resort to the head porting for the last few mods.

how about 30+cfm on stock sized valves? thats probably not a good enough reason.

I do not claim to be knowledgable in any sense, and i would not particularly recommend doing it your self but heres the link to what i did. its not in a car yet, but it will be soon enough. then ill know how bad i screwed it up.
