Default Gauges for a high compression setup???

Hey, I was wondering if there were any gauges that would help me out, in case of any problems in my motor, for example maybe engine temp...and a website that has them for cheap would be helpful too

Autometer make some reasonably priced gauges. Oil and coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel pressure gauges should do the trick.

Do a search too. This has been discussed recently.

Fuel pressure gauge is a wise investment on a high cr motor. I have a fuel press, oil press,a/f. All greddy.

Also for a high CR an Exhaust temp guage. These are acurate unlike Autometer A/F guages and will tell you if you are running rich or lean as well.

oil pressure without a doubt take it from me. Fuel pressure leave in the engine bay. You really don't need anymore than that.

I diasagree If a high compression motor leans out because your fuel pump is intermittent and you dont catch it BOOM You dont have to get a mechanical gauge(even though its more accurate), you can get one with a sending unit like my greddy one has.

If your only runnin teo than yeah. If not get a Fuel pres, oil and coolant temp...those couple of extra hundred on guages can save the thousands later, ya know what I mean

Maybe a J&S safeguard.

Oil pressure, J&S and EGT (or a decent AF meter).

Not if tuned right. 12.4:1 compression here with 93 octane on the street...

STTTTTTTTTACK that's the best of the best out there. Anyway....just kidding LOL....the price of a STACK is too hardcore for most of us.

Defi, APEXi, HKS are all reliable on gauges. For a high CR motor I will go for A/F mixture, coolant & oil temp, and oil pressure gauges. That's quite enough to monitor the motor's condition I think.

well I need 2 1/16inch gauges, who makes those besides autometer? and which two would be the BEST....I think oil pressure and EGT should be enough...

get the 52mm gauges, and you will have to slightly dremel out the autometer pods (2-1/16)
