Default Looking for a good band saw.. any suggestions??

Im not a hardcore fab kind of guy. I basically just want something that I can used to cut some metal for strut bars and roll cage. something small nothing too extreme. Larges pieces would be a diameter of 3-4 inches wide. Not solid metal. Plus its for a learning process I have plan. i got 300.00 bucks to spare for the machine. any suggestions would help.

Marvel 15a is currntly only running about $58,000. I got mine for only 1200 not running about 2000 in parts in to to make it run

Now on the serious side try checking craigslist or ebay

I have a marvel and love it but its the size of a car and weighs 5000lbs

depending on your space requirements try a powermatic, kalamazoo, enco. Look for an old industrial bandsaw it will be way better than anything you buy new. It also helps if it has carbide blade guides and coolant
