oem mounts to the shock tower. and most of the aftermarket ones mount to the top of the assembly. which i would think be better.

doesnt matter if its fake. if the part does the job, why not get it? unless you wanna pay for the name.

quality and brand name is what ur looking for. but in ur case, u said ebay. so ebay struts arent bad. they look shiny and all. and will do the job. go for it. expensive ones are really just show points and all.

so you think the quality of the metals, the type of metals and the quality of welds dont play any part in how effective the bars are at reducing chassis flex? You ever hear the phrase you get what you pay for? no difference here

true, but still, SOME ebay parts arent bad. i bought that 5 piece kit from ebay. they all work fine, i felt a difference and theyve been on there for over a year, so they last. there also adjustable too, where some arent.

I would stay away from ebay ****. You get what you pay for. I would go with OEM as well.

The solid bars will offer the least amount of flex. But really this is just one small factor of you suspension setup and if you want to cheap out on this do it before you cheap out on your shocks/springs. I would suggest the typer swaybar if you havent dont that yet. more bang for your buck than ebay strut bars.

Why would you need an adjustable strut bar? what are you going to adjust? with a high quality piece you get perfect fitment right out of the box and a solid piece will have more rigidity. Hence why people are recommending oem pieces that take all of the above into consideration at a slimmer price than an aftermarket option.

Adjustability is a crock of **** on a strut bar. It's function is to tie the two strut towers together to increase rigidity. I don't know what the hell adjusting anything has to do with that.

lol? why wouldnt you want adjustability. and i was saying for ebay items. there fitmit isnt really up to par. you can adjust them so that the strut bar is forcing them away from eachother or pulling them together. screws with alignment. or you can buy itr or stock stuff. might as well is you got the money. or you can buy some 400 dollar strut bar thats shiny and has a pretty name and badge.

Did you ever see a neuspeed, mugen or spoon strut bar in person? They are way more solid than those 5 pieces kit.

Not really. The upper shock mounts on double-wishbone Hondas do not bear lateral forces like McPherson strut assemblies do. Really the best spot to tie together would be the upper control arm bolts.

But since the OEM mount points, upper shock mounts, and upper control arm bolts are all right there close together, mounting to any of those locations really won't make that much difference.

I decided to go cheap and bought a two piece front and rear strut bars for 35 bucks, hopefully they do their job not like the $50 coilovers...
