oh and also can you use a d16z6 obd1 vtec distributer on a b16a?

i dont know about the distributer

I believe the older ones dont use KS but the newer ones 99-00 do. For the Del Sol version i have no clue weither they do or not.
For the dist. you could use the internals in the B16 case or ghetto it by cutting off the legs or something.

Are you running an OBD O, 1, or 2 ECU?
you need a VTEC dizzy for your b16. Either a GSR ,Hype-R or B16. An LS will work if you cut off on of the mounting flanges but have been known to not run well.
just makes sure that if it's an OBDO ecu you use an OBDO dizzy (b16 will be your only choice)
If it's an OBD I or II ECU you are using you can use either a OBD I or II dizzy, Youll just need to get the corosponding plugs re-pin the plugs on the dizzy to make it work with what ever application your using
A D series can be mounted using 1 bolt hole but your timing will be way off.

not necessary true. maybe the first gen of b16 (obd 0) don't have them, but i have a 94 out of an eg6 (which is a obd 1) and it has a knock sensor.

for B16 ECUs (generally speaking, there are a couple exceptions)
obd0 - no knock sensor present
obd1 - knock sensor present
obd2 - knock sensor present
the engine doesn't care if it has a knock sensor, only the ECU matters.
