well as you might know the other night some midget tried to steal my car. They about two block from my house, because I have mad hills around my house. They stole my ecu, bent the hell out of my new steering wheel, smashed the ign. Nothing new but they didn't get the car. Which is good, but I am still pissed because I had to fix **** out of pocket. Now I am trying to do some investagation work on removable nrg steering wheel hubs, and hub lock. I want to know if it's worth the extra layer of security? And does anyknow if they can be bypassed?
i dont have one but i would sure like one. NRG just came out with a smaller hub or what ever its called, the new hub sits the steering wheel more away from the driver giving a little more room for the driver. Though i'd like to pick up the stock CTR steering wheel.
any security is worth it...but it still not going to stop crooks from breaking into your car, either way your still *ucked*
Every layer is worth it. Especially if you live in Cali and you aren't parking in a garage. Yes, it's possible to steal a car, even with the steering wheel removed, but like I said, it's another layer that they will have to deal with.
Damn took me a while to find this again:
This is what happens when you even try to drill the lock out and why i say your fubar if you loose the key.

i want security that wont fail...then a hidden kill swtich is the key. nrg quick release is an added bonus. the only way i've heard of a car gettin stolen without the steerign wheel is with a vice grip. seriously

I just installed both of the units that you want and with a nice alarm system its a great peice. tip- make sure before you take off the wheel that you turn the wheel all the way to the right or left. This will make it hard to pull the car straight out.
