why buy ebay?. Its a blown motor waiting to happen. Buy reilable parts like a tial, or a real hks, .

Im not trying to say ebay is bad, but for a wastegate I would trust a name brand.

 

not saying ebay stuff is great, but everyone of my friends using their stuff loves it. My friends got a 1g tsi with just a ebay t3/t4, a tial knock off, a ebay ,manifold and 20 psi, and the cars runs low 11's. J rod built it for those who know him. There's also a DSM guy running 9's last I knew with all ebay stuff. idk

 

wit ebay stuff its hit or miss back in the day peolpe were having lots of probs with knock offs now it seems there stuff is getting a lott better...

well... i gotta knock-off tial wastegate. make sure u put the firing ring on. but anyway, its fine and i havent had a problem with it. but my aem ems has a fuel cut-off as a back up just in-case it acts up, but so far so good. But if i had the $, a tial wastegate is what i would own.

 

im looking for someone useing a hks knock off 60mm big gate ..i know if you going to spnd the money buy it once and not again but a true hks 60 is 899.99 or so just asking if theres any one useing it ..

 

how much power do you plan on making to justify the use of such large of a wg?
or do you just plan to run ultra low boost on a small turbo for dd and think you need a 60mm wg to get the job done?

did i say anything about buying one ... no im asking if there any one who has used one and i have a try tial 38mm gate on my car. i was looking around on ebay and this was in a listing so i thought i would see f theres anyone one here using it ..and buy the way im shure theres someone running this gate one hatertech !

 

if theres one thing you should not be a cheap *** about its a waste gate! just buy a damn tial!!!!!!!!

 

i'm running a 60mm off my neukin ramhorn but i'm still getting boost creep issues my turbo size t3t67HO holds boost good to 8200RPM then after that it creeps about 4psi more than i want. i want to keep my boost around 9psi on pump gas. i'm getting less creep than with the 44mm but i think its because my turbo is too large. other than that if i change springs to the medium one, it holds boost 15psi rock solid.

They work pretty good along with the rest of the SSauto gates.Just double check the diaphram is seated correctly etc.I have used many without problem.

boost creep occurs in most cases from poor wastegate placement.
it would not creep b/c you have a large wg and large turbo, think about it, the physics aren't there. It could spike w/ a small wg and a large turbo and attempting to run low boost, but everything is relative to the engine and the entire setup and it's hard to generalize how it can happen. proper wg size/turbo sizing/wg placement are key.

either way, boost creep/spike/whatever name you have for it, is caused attempting to run too little boost on a setup where it causes a "back up" of exhaust gases. the wg is flowing allll the exhaust it can flow w/ whatever spring you have in it and the turbo is spinning faster and faster the higher you rev. WELL, b/c you're producing mroe and more exhaust gas the higher you rev, it has to have somewhere to go. if the wg can't flow anymore, it has to go through the turbo, which will cause you to boost more than the desired amount.

No man! why get 60mm knock off? might as well get a 90mm knock off

 

lol.... no, i bought my aem ems used on ebay shipped for $650. i bought the wg know 1/4 of what i know about turbos now. If i could do it over, i woulda just bought a tial wg and be done.
