on ebay we can found turbosmart 38mm wastegate for 1xx $ (from malysia or honk kong) and 100$ more (from usa), they looks the same, on turbosmart website is that real one should have cd inside, but even those for 280$ 38mm WG (from price it should be real one) dosen't have it, so is it sense to pay 100$ more??
does somebody use turbosmart 38mm WG from ebay (cheaper one);
i must buy 2 - for price difference that is 200$ i can spend for something different

we typically don't use those. AT ALL. the probability of **** going wrong with other components is too high. The real turbosmart is from australia. This is the last thing you want to be cheap on.

I would order it directly from them, but legally I'm pretty sure they can't put Turbosmart's name on a wastegate that isn't from Turbosmart because of copyright/patent reasons. Mine says "Turbosmart Made in Australia" on it. I bought a new one off craigslist form a kid and it's the real thing.

You only have to ask one question why would they sell it for half price what do they gain by doing so?That should make you question whether or not they are real and my guess is they are not.The other question is what happens if the wastegate gets stuck and you overboost.I would cut corners on a BOV before a wastegate.

These Chinese counterfeiters dont give a rats A$$ about our trademarks, copyrights or patents.

Many of us are dealing with these same issues.



If you want to be absolutely sure, buy from an authorized dealer.

On some of the counterfeits, they spelled DESIGNED wrong on the cap.

Also, we have seen them using the wrong part numbers. If they say it is part number TS-0501-1010 and list it with 14 PSI springs, its most likely counterfeit. That is the part number for the 7 PSI gate.

There is no way a Real Turbosmart wastegate is going to be that cheap plain and simple. you dont get Quality products cheap unless their stolen !

Turbosmart makes great products, its a shame there being ripped off like that and having their name tarnished. Ive owned TS wastegates and BOV's and loved/love them.
Currently have a Raceport BOV, used to have a megasonic bov and racegate 50mm WG. All performed perfectly
