did a search and found a LOT of stories about these high flow cats crapping out within a year. Random tech, Carsound, everyone's had problems from what I can tell. Anyone have a tale they want to share?
I'm really only considering a high flow cat because of the price compared to a stock unit. I DO NOT want anything too loud and DO NOT want to be replacing it 12 months from now. Should I just lay out the cash and go with a new OEM unit?

buy a testpipe. just 30-40 bucks, shipped. http://www.testpipe.com
that way, if you need to, you can put your original cat back on. if you're trying to replace your catalytic because it's broken, then i suggest buying some generic OEM brand replacement, and still buying a testpipe. good luck!

Jim Wolf at JWT(NISSAN PLACE) told me that every high flow cat on the market burned out very quickly. He also said that my stock Nissan cat flowed better anyway, but cost about $600. Now I have no cat.
