Ok ever since ive bought the car ive had a problem with the sunroof its not big but it bother s me I press the button for it to open and i could hear the motor but nothing moves and I have to push it up and then it goes without problems????
Does anyone have the same or similar problem and does anyone have suggestions on fixing it or have fixed it let me know????

I have the same freaken problem but it depends on the weather if its cold I have to push it up if not it will go up half the time.

 

Damn i was just thinking of replacing the whole thing, cuz im gonna get the car painted and it sometimes hit the roof when i open it if i dont push it up hard enough so it just messes up the paint . damn but if anyone know a solution for it let us know???

 

I asked somebody who had a eg with sunroof and he said that it could be that its not aligned properly. When my eg comes out in 2 weeks I am going to bring it to my body guy and ask him to check it out!

 

Not sure if lubing helps. But I've lubed the tracks on mine, and it works better. When I was first checking the car out, I used to have to give it a hand almost every time I tried to open it. Now it usually opens by itself (occasionally I still have to help it out a bit though.)

 

i have this same problem, lubed it up and worked a lil better but still the same. I think i have a weak sunroof motor.

 

mine also does the same thing.... if ne1 got more ideas it would be great!

Clean your tracks, check for broken plastic pieces (that guide the glass upward)
If that doesnt work, motor could be dead

 

Use silicone spray or white lithium grease. Works like a charm.
