I have a stock b16a2 in my ef.. Im losing to a EG hatch with header/CAI/Exaust.. My stock Downpipe is Bent really bad to the point its almost closed up.. could that be the problem?.... I got CTR shafts, AEM CAm Gears, CAI and thats it.. why am i losing? what can i do to make my car get more power.. i just ordered 4-2-1 dc stainles adn skunk2 intake manifold...

 

You should be easily beating a stock eg hatch with i/h/e. I would change the header out and make sure that the timing is good. Maybe even give it a good tuneup.

 

Are you losing on take offs or in all 4 gears? Make sure that the timing's right and that your car's not an automatic...lol. Seriously, next time you race, try switching cars...it could be your driving too...But with your stock engine and current set up, except for the bent tubing, you should be able to beat an EG with no problems...not unless he has a bottle under the seats or something...hehehe.
