What CAI to order for B18C1 in EG hatch?
As topic says, what AEM CAI will fit an EG hatch? Were doing the swap soon and I wasn't sure what will fit the stock IM and still go into the ideal location.... or should we fab something up?

i believe you are gonna have a hard time fitting anything other than the gsr aem cai because of the low tb location on the stock gsr im. You could get a skunk2 or itr im and use another cai.

We aren't going to swap the IM out of the box since its all coming from hmotors. So the GSR AEM CAI *will* work?
If not, I wouldn't really have a hard time fabbing something up, but I'd like to keep the engine bay clean since the guy whos car it is likes that sorta ****

What CAI would I use in my EG?
I have a B18b but it has a JG/Edelbrock intake manifold, so it sits alot lower than the stock one. Will the ITR one work? I want a larger diameter one because I have a holley throttle body and the current one I have is way too small for the t/b

I just saw in my new SCC that AEM is actually making intakes for our cars with swaps now. That's something else to check out. For a B16 or ITR (and B18B as well) in a EK/EG I would either go with the SI or the ITR CAI and for a B18C1 in an EK/EG I would go with a GSR CAI.

Your EG should have the hole just like the integra... my gsr's AEM fits my EG w/ the gsr engine in it....
GSR CAI.
GSR CAI.

I'm not too sure about that. I had the same swap in my car. The stock intake box doesn't fit right, it comes up a bit short. And I had a AEM CAI in the Integra before I did the swap. Doesn't seem like it'll go into that hole though.

Re: (THEINTEGRATION)
i think your right about the hole. We put an itr cai onto my buddy's y8 coupe and the intake fits down where it does on integra. Kinda in front of the radiator down that way. It definantely wouldn't fit into the hole on his car.

AEM is actually making, and has, a line out of intakes for engine swapped civics with certain motors from ITR to h22 - just to give a heads up

Re: (dwnthehatch)
my GSR AEM fits in my eg with GSR swap and AC lines....its just that the pipe doesn't go into that hole in the framerail....its goes to the right of the framerail and curves under...the trick is to get the mounting bracket under the AC lines on the framerail and all is gravy...i also have a spare GSR AEM intake tube in red somewhere in my garage...hmmm...

I bought a generic 99-00 SI CAI and it fits fine.

if u are using the gsr manifold it will fit fine - it wont go through the whole it goes under to the right. if you have a skunk2 manifold then get a type-R AEM...
