keep the b16a2 or swap the h22 into it?
okay let me start off by saying im in the process of buying 94 civic hatch with a b16a2 in it the problem im running into is weather to keep this motor in it and turbo it,..... or swap it out with an h22a??? just wondering if anyone could give me some helpful advice on what to do??? when and if i swap the h22 into it i also plan to turbo that. i have plent of money to do basically any thing with in reason. other than a k20 and a turbo cause of the cost of the motor but there isn't really a limit. so any responses would be helpful. thanks
I say keep the B16 and turbo it. You'll definitely make out with more power and torque (umm, at higher boost) than a stock H22. You'll save time and money if you do not swap in the H22 and turbo that. You'll gain an extra ~80 lbs by going to the H22. However, with the H2B kits, I don't blame you for wanting to go with H22.
h22 is not 80lbs its more around 40 i believe. stock h22s hit 300whp on low boost plus lots of torque. if youve got money get an h2b kit, sleeve and build the h22 and turbo it. if i had money to burn i wouldnt think twice about it
I would keep the hatch and boost the b16. The car is only worth 2k with a stock motor, so why dump another couple thousand dollars going with the H22 and H2B? Save money and boost the b16 is what i would do.
if it were my car id probably just turbo the b16 due to money and time. on the other hand i personally own an na h22 and i get plenty power/torque across the board with just bolt-ons.
...a turbo h22 would be more unique
...a turbo h22 would be more unique
so its ur belief that i can get more tq and hp out of the b16a2 instead of the h22a? is that if i do internals on the b16 sleeved and cams and so forth.....?

The H22 is the best IMO, but I'm H series bias so I won't say much. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1898889 I started this thread on my project. If you're going to take some time to decide at least look at what I have invested. Boosting an H22 isn't cheap, but its worth it IMO.
