Default Guys need some help check engine light is on w/hondata

Well guys have a 99 civic coupe w/b16 swap running obd1 conversion with p28 hondata chip, the check engine light is on i had the bulb out of it for a while now. I just recently put the bulb back in and the light was on i took it up to my buddie at the honda shop and he tried to jump it and no responce. The car is running fine but worried that something else is going to go wrong. Is this a comp problem an o2 sensor or maybe the chip is bad? Need some help on this guys thanks.

Guys the engine is an obd2 motor with the obd1 conversion harness with the hondata is it worth trying another chip or plugging in a stock p28 and seeing if the light comes on or not?

if your buddy tried to check the code, using the obd2 port, it wouldnt respond
or, did he jump it using the connector at the passenger kick-panel?

This may sound kinda dumb, but when I had my Hondata chipped to my p28 I had the same problem. Check the connection to the little blue box. Mine was loose and threw a CEL. Hope that helps.
