Im debating is it worth it to buy a B16A2 tranny for my LSVTEC set up or should I just keep my LS tranny and save my money for future mods?

My LS tranny is fine but some of my friends are telling to pick up a B16A2 tranny to improve my NA setup. I agree with them but I dont know if its worth it?

I wanted to pick up a OBX LSD for my tranny instead of buying a whole new/ used B16 tran. What are your opinions?

 

The shorter gearing of the b16 trans helps out acceleration quite a bit. But if its a daily drive street car that is on the highway a lot it might be annoying because the of the constant high rpms.

 

get a GSR good all around tranny

id say 4get the gsr also..i just swapped mine out for a b16 and it was a night and day difference of acceleration...of course now i have no vtec which i need to fix

 

I vote for either a b16 tranny or a 92-93 gsr tranny. Depending on how much highway driving you like doing, look into an ls 5th gear swap as well.
