OK I have 92 SI (canadian) stock everything excpet a ebay ECU(po6 or po7)"built to p28 specs". Recently I have started to have alternator issues. One went out a while back replaced with alternator off a VX. That one lasted about 6 months. Than it crapped out. Got another used one from a parts house. It crapped. Then I got one that was rebuilt. It crapped out. Is it becasue I bought used ones?. And also there is a difference between american and canadian (mitsubishi and nippondenso) are the names for the alternators. Nippondenso comes factory i believe on the canadian. I am throwing a code for what appears to be a 27 two long blinks and seven quick ones. But there is no twenty seven in my haynes manual. Anyway, I NEED MY CAR BACK! Since my ecu isnt a the factory SI one, could it be throwing a code for a 89 CRX or something like that. PLZ no bullshit replies, I really need to get this resolved. check and see if you have any shorts in your wiring. if you do it may be the problem. and how is the connections on your battery?

 

i could probally use to replace the battery cables and what wiring should i check?

 

just check around the engine wiring harness and check to see if anything is cut and wires are touching metal
