Skunk2 stg2, pro1, pro2 cams vs JDM Type S cams?
I'm planning on getting new cams in the near future for my H22 and I was wondering what you guys think about the Skunk2 stage2, pro1, and pro2. This is my first motor that I'm actually building so I don't know much about the differences except what I read on the descriptions on JHP and such. My current setup consists of:
Head:
Supertech valves, valvesprings, retainers
JDM Type S cams
Block:
JDM Oversized Type S pistons & rings
Balance shafts removed
AEM CAI
JIC Bullet Exhaust
Not sure what kind of header but here's a pic. I believe it was custom but I'm not sure.

sorry that's the only pic i have at the moment. took it while i was sanding it down. Which is why it's shiny on left and nasty on right
I think that's it...
Which cam would be the most effective for a street/daily driver application? How do these Skunk2 cams compare to the type s cams? Also, I'd like to know why the Type S cams are more expensive than the Skunk2 cams on JHPusa.com. Thanks in advance.

the crower 3's on a stock motor only extend hte peak out.. they make maybe 8-10hp more PAST where the stock cams fall off at. they dont pick up anything below where the stock cams peak at.
I've used Skunk2 Pro 2's in my H22 build (Type-S pistons, high compression valves, skimmed block, Skunk2 valvetrain). I also went with a good I/H/E setup, P&P head, ported IM, 68mm TB & standalone ECU. It's due back from the engine builders & tuners next weekend, so I'll post up the results. You'll need decent compression for the Pro 2's, so I'm hoping I've got enough with the above

Look at the date man that was 4 years ago and yes plenty of people are doing although i think they would make more with stage twos or pro ones . The pro 2s do make power.
