Default IACV causing me to run rich?

my car has been running real rich for the past few months...enough to turn the spark plugs black in a matter of weeks. about a month ago i got autozone to plug into my ecu and i showed codes for the map sensor, iacv, and a misfire on cylinder 4. the isfire was due to spark plugs and i replaced the map sensor a few days ago hoping that would fix it. the only problem left it the iacv. my idle has been fluctuating for some time between 1k n 2k rpms. i thought i fixed it by cleaning it out but the problem came back. could my bad iacv be causing me to run rich?

If your iacv is throwing a code then I dont think there is a way around fixing it without buying a new one. Unless it was really clogged but you already said you cleaned it.

Usually you can't just clean and throw back on the IACV like you can the FITV.

Just replace it.
