need new clutch/flywheel, plz advise!
i need a new clutch and flywheel; i have a 2000 model so i want to go with an aftermarket clutch and a lighter flywheel, i will not go forced induction just intake/exhaust/headers probably; plz advise on what my best options would be, also i use the car as a daily driver; thank u!
Exedy stage 1 pressure plate , oem disc and throw out bearing, and comptech lightened flywheel if you can get your hands on one still.
stage one feels a bit more stiffer than stock, but it wont kill you for daily drive. ACT i've felt it to be a bit too strong for my likings.

2000 model would be an AP1
... comptech flywheel (cuz it can be resurface)
... OEM disc (cuz you can go wroong with it)
... ACT pressure plate (cuz oem is weak@ss)

I've had about every clutch set up the OEM disc sucks and the OEM pressure plate even more.
Go with an after market disc.
I've had so far
-Stage 1 pressure plate, OEM DISC, Spoon flywheel
-Stage 2 pressure plate, 3 puck spoon disc, spoon flywheel
Changed it because I couldnt stand how soft OEM is I hate soft clutches. When I got the car with 15,000 miles the clutch went out a week later. Then later decided to change it again at 75,000 miles. The second set up was great as is the spoon set up but I havent really driven the spoon set up that much because the car has been sitting for about 4 months.

just bought an exedy clutch for like 330 and put it in myself. damn clutch went out the first week i had the car. keep in mind there is a bolt going through the starter and into the bell housing
you cant resurface the flywheel so your best bet is to buy a new one. if your old one isnt bad then take a chance like i did and put it back in

also if your thinking about getting headers then get them and put them in when you do the clutch . the service manual tells you to take off the headers andways to make room for the transmission. i didnt do it that way but it would make the job easier and kill 2 birds with one stone
