Car kicks out of first gear
So this has happened to me twice now. Im in first gear and i get on it and aroun 6-7k the car kicks out of first and grinds horribly. I heard it might be the tranny fluid. This happened to n e one else?
Year and mileage? Your synchros and sliders might just be giving up under all that torque. Tranny fluid should be the first thing you check; run it through a coffee filter after you drain it and take a picture. Or show a mechanic.
Previous owner might have skipped it. If you wanna take it in, there's a bunch of other maintenance that goes with the 60k service. If not:
1) Drain/change tranny fluid, filter out and check.
2) Change diff fluid
3) Air filter/HVAC filter
4) Alignment
5) Coolant flush
6) Brake pads/resurfacing rotors
