Motor 95 turbo GSR...
Ok, so when I turn my car on in the mornings, if the temp outside is below 70F, the car idles like sheit, most of the time, I have to keep my foot on the gas for a few minutes until the motor warms up enough to idle on its own. Once the motor warms up, it idles and runs like a champ!!
I have taken off the FITV and screwed that sheit back in,
I've used three IACV's and they all did the same thing. First one gave me a check Eng light, the other two didnt'.
I've cleaned out the intake mani, my pcv system vents to atmosphere so it isn't building up gunk.
One thing to note, whild getting my car dynoed, MASE tried changing the IACV duty cycle all over the place to get something to happen and nothing happened. It would not change the idle at all.
No air in coolant system I burped several times, w/heater on.
I think maybe the driver in the ECU is maybe bad? But wouldn't it run bad all the time then?
I'm really stumped because I do not know anyone else with a hondata/p72 that I could try their ecu.

this is gonna sound dumb but have you checked your battery and the connections, you could have a battery that is getting ready to take a ****? My turbo hatch was having the same problem but it was becuase batteries and cold dont go well together. When my battery died and I replaced it... no more idle problems.

battery is just a few months old.
Throttle body is OEM GSR, gasket, well, umm....made one myself. I traced the pattern and made all the fitv and iacv holes....hmmmm maybe its just not good enough?????

Stick your finger over the hole in the upper left corner while it's running and see if the idle changes. Sounds like the intake for the IACV is blocked. If the idle doesn't change at all, then either the iac isn't getting any air, or is faulty. The hole in the gasket for the IACV needs to be decent size for it to work properly. Just get a honda gasket for it.
FWIW, the gasket that BDL sends with their throttle bodies does not have that hole, and the IAC will not work unless you cut the hole out. Somebody didn't do their homework on that one...

I'm going to check that after work today and get a new gasket anyway.

does anyone know if the skunk2 Pro series TB has the same problem? my idle is shitty in the cold with crome. i think its crome though... i dont believe it has a good working IACV script. also, if i adjust the idle screw on the sk2 TB it does nothing?
