Default Car will not go into gear =(

I have a 95 accord with an h22a with 5spd tranny. My car won't go into gear. When the car is off, it goes into gear fine, but when my car is on and I press in the clutch, it will not go into any gear. The clutch goes in and out fine. It was just fine yesterday and out of no where I'm stuck in a parking lot. I also tried turning on the car in first gear, it would just buck and die as if I didn't have the clutch in the first place. Thanks!

Go for a dash dive and see if the clutch master cylinder is leaking where the pedal push rod goes thru the firewall.
have someone step on the clutch while you watch the slave cylinder action moving the clutch pivot arm.

Check your clutch fluid. Maybe it is leaking somewhere and getting low, or there is air in the line. It seems like somehow when you press your clutch, it is not being pressed in the tranny.

There's no leak and my clutch fluid is full. We bled the slave cylinder and no air. We refilled the fluid from what we drained. There's no visible leak from the master cylinder. Could there be something wrong with the clutch assembly or am I going to have to break down and take out the clutch. Thanks

Couldn't be the throw out bearings could it? Have you noticed any clutch slippage lately?

I couldnt tell you. Man i wish i could. I hate when this kind of stuff happens. Maybe the shift fork is out of alignment or something. Find out anything new yet?

BUMP, I hope you figure it out.

Same thing happened to me but it was the clutch fluid.

same thing happened to a friend that still had his f22. One day the clutch was fine with no problems then all of the sudden the car wont go into gear.

We replaced the clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder and went over the lines to check for leaks. We bled the line for about 30 min and still nothing. Next day my friend came out and started the car and went into gear just fine. It was intermittent for him. He bled it some more and hasnt had a problem since.

I say bleed the line till you replace all the fluid and go from there. If that doesnt fix it replace the slave cylinder and bleed very thoroughly, then if that doesnt do it try the clutch master cylinder.

i hope this helps.

I just went outside and tried to start it in neutral. No go. So I turned off the car and set it into first gear and turned it on and instead of surging forward.. it worked! The idle was effed up and it died on me, but I kept the revs up and got it into my garage now.

Everytime I press on the clutch, I hear what seemes to be like a constant little swoosh of air coming from the clutch pedal area.
